RPI Company was originally formed more than 3 decades ago as a subsidiary of National Properties, Incorporated (NPI), a privately held real estate corporation that was purchasing and managing existing garden apartment communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The company provided property maintenance and construction services almost exclusively for NPI through three operating divisions …Painting, Landscaping and Mechanical/General Construction Services.
As NPI continued its growth in the 80’s and 90’s and expanded into the development and construction of their own communities, RPI followed the lead by expanding their capabilities with the acquisition of new equipment and talented personnel. Under the corporate leadership of NPI, RPI Company benefited by giving their key personnel an inside look at the daily challenges faced by property owners trying to control expenses while maintaining eye-catching curb appeal.
Understanding these challenges and developing new innovative approaches to the business became RPI-Company’s primary focus during the early years which contributed to the great success that NPI enjoyed as a respected leader in the multi-family housing industry.
In early 2007, NPI solidified their decision to liquidate the company’s assets by selling all 22 apartment communities to one buyer in a single transaction. In anticipation of this major event, RPI-Company began a successful transition into an independent property maintenance and construction services company. RPI continues to attract new customers who appreciate the quality and value that we deliver each and every day. Although our business model has changed, we embrace our history and the important lessons we have learned which has enabled us to service our customers and remain competitive in a highly competitive industry.
